City advises of critical Manenberg electricity work

The City advises residents in the Manenberg, The Downs area of an electricity supply interruption for essential infrastructure maintenance, which will be carried out on Thursday, 5 June 2025 from 08:30 to 16:00. The City apologises for any inconvenience.

It is important to note that interruptions to supply will only impact the areas on the maps and only on the relevant date. The work will be carried out from 08:30 to 16:00, if all goes to plan.

Please note:

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work.

Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
